Valerie Jarrett Threatening To “Shut It All Down” Following Stunning Obamatrade Defeat?

Was it a matter of her trying to restore the long-ago lost luster of her own historical importance? Was it a case of doing the bidding of Clinton Machine operatives? Or perhaps a momentary lapse in her years-long devotion to all things Obama? Whatever her reasons were, the dramatic rift that now exists between Nancy Pelosi and the Obama White House is being reported across the Mainstream Media since it broke open (and first reported on here at D.C. Whispers) last Friday.

The Obama White House fully expected a close vote on the “Obamatrade” bill on Friday. What they didn’t expect was to have House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi personally escort the president into Congress and then quickly turn on him by refusing to give him the support needed to have any chance of the legislation passing. This is said to have enraged both Barack Obama and Valerie Jarrett who were left stunned and embarrassed by the overwhelming and bipartisan vote count that was a powerful rebuke of the president’s now-vanishing influence.

This morning The Hill reported on the Pelosi about-face and the resulting landslide opposition vote with the following:

“Friday’s failure raised questions about how much more Obama will be able to accomplish with just 18 months left in his presidency.”

The Washington Post declared the Obamatrade vote a “major defeat” for the White House and that Pelosi had earlier on Friday indicated to the president she was “leaning no” but then made a far stronger and much more dramatic no vote speech on the House floor – a gesture that initially frustrated and then soon after enraged, both Barack Obama and Valerie Jarrett.

President Obama’s approval rating has also fallen to a five-month low according to the RCP polling average.

It is also now being whispered that Valerie Jarrett is at this very moment threatening to “shut it all down” with a still-pending federal budget agreement. If so, things appear on the verge of getting very-very ugly between the White House and Congress…


I suspect we could find enough money to buy Valerie an air plane ticket back her home , Iran. Maybe in "shutting it down" she means Obama will play golf for the rest of his presidency.
