American Dream Dies

Following a long illness, the American Dream has died. Born in Philadelphia in 1776, it was 239 years old and had been in declining health for many years. But while it was alive, the American Dream was the driving force that led the United States to the highest heights.
Its purpose was personified and expressed by President Ronald Reagan, who said: "The American Dream is not that every man must be level with every other man. The American Dream is that every man must be free to become whatever God intends he should become. "
Propelled, motivated, and inspired by that simple yet profound truth, millions of Americans since our nation's birth dreamed big, aimed high, dug deep, and achieved greatness. It was the government's job to provide the opportunity to succeed and step out of the way and let it happen. That was the animating spirit of the American Dream.,
Given that freedom and the responsibility that accompanied it, generations of Americans became builders and doers, inventors, and innovators., church leaders, and manufacturer, entertainers, and athletes. Driven by their own ambition and self determination, they solved intractable problems and overcame seemingly insurmountable obstacles. It was their dynamic spirit that catapulted the United States of America into the forefront as the most successful, prosperous and generous nation the world has ever known.
The beginning of the end for the American Dream came when Washington, D.C., made the decision to replace opportunity with security and personal responsibility with government dependence. From the instant onward, the American Dream began a precipitous decline.
World leaders came together for a "celebration of life" for the American Dream, but the mood was sullen and grim. Said on long-time American ally, "The world will never be the same as it was. We have lost our guiding light".

Leaving the service, a little girl spoke for a grieving nation when she asked, "What do we do now?"

This was from an article by David Horowitz.
For those who don't know Horowitz, his folks, like Obama's were Communists. David was raised a communist and was a member of the radical 60's. Then after writing a best selling book about the Kennedys, he realized the failure of the 60's and became a stalwart for conservative/ capitalism.

"Atlas Shrugged " and "Animal Farm " were prophetic. Let's hope that "1984" isn't the future.

The problem is the difference in ideology. One perspective believes in inalienable rights for all that require responsibility and moral value within the social system. While the other requires one more than half the votes to change things as the majority(mob) sees fit. It literally is that simple, and the latter always self destructs with history as the recorder. The farther left democrats move, and they are continually moving in that direction, the larger the discourse between the two parties. This results in the loss of common ground during negotiations and "back door" deals made to pass legislation.

"A Republic is representative government ruled by law (the United States Constitution). A Democracy is government ruled by the majority (mob rule). A Republic recognizes the unalienable rights of individuals while Democracies are only concerned with group wants or needs for the good of the public, or in other words social justice.
Lawmaking is a slow, deliberate process in our Constitutional Republic requiring approval from the three branches of government, the Legislative, Executive, and Judicial branches for checks and balance. Lawmaking in Democracy occurs rapidly requiring approval from the majority by polls and/or voter referendums, which in turn is mob rule 50% plus 1 vote takes away anything from the minority. Here is one example; if 51% of the people don’t pay taxes they can vote a tax increase on the 49% that do, which is mob rule.

Democracies always self-destruct when the non-productive majority realizes that it can vote itself handouts from the productive minority by electing the candidate promising the most benefits from the public treasury. To maintain their power, these candidates must adopt an ever-increasing tax and spend policy to satisfy the ever-increasing desires of the majority. As taxes increase, incentive to produce decreases, causing many of the once productive to drop out and join the non-productive. When there are no longer enough producers to fund the legitimate functions of government and the socialist programs, the democracy will collapse, always to be followed by a Dictatorship.
Even though nearly every politician, teacher, journalist and citizen believes that our Founders created a democracy, it is absolutely not true. The Founders knew full well the differences between a Republic and a Democracy and they repeatedly said that they had founded a republic in numerous quotes, and documents."

The second paragraph explains clearly what is happening in our country now. What it does not go into detail about is explaining how a dictatorship follows. I don't believe it to be a sudden happening. I think it starts with small, incremental happenings like Obamacare, a federal mandate to legalize gay marriage, treaties without getting approval from the other two branches of government, and illegal executive orders(immigration) under the guise of passed bills(Homeland Security). All of which violates the Constitution of the United States. Does any of this sound familiar? I suggest all of you educate yourselves on how Hitler came to power and how the Soviet Union became a communist state, if you haven't already.

For Democrats looking to get voted into an office it is simply about sales tactics. What kind of social program can they promise to give to the majority that will motivate those voters to cast a ballad in their favor. All Republicans can and should offer is to protect and continue their God given freedoms under our Constitution. The 'have nots" have come to out number the "haves" because Democrats have systematically over decades tipped the scale with social programs funded with tax dollars in order to create votes. They continue to do so, which will result in the transformation of the United States of America into a socialist/communist state. Here is a quote from FDR's Chief advisor Harry Hopkins, the mastermind of the New Deal programs that were approved by all three branches of government who were unsurprisingly ruled by a vast democrat majority his entire presidency. "We shall Tax and Tax, Spend and Spend, Elect and Elect, because the people are too darn dumb to know the difference". That is precisely how Obama came to be elected twice. Who knew when that lady standing outside the building asked Dr Franklin if we had a Republic or a Monarchy and he replied "a Republic if you can keep it" that the American public would become so lazy and ignorant?
