pup scared from gun shot

shot over pup lightly started today she got really spooked i hope i didnt hurt anything she kind of hung around i was trying to shoot her a rabbit has anybody had this happen what do i do next to insure she dosent get scared,she wasnt driving hard thats why i think she got scared.

If she is under a year and a half, I would not worry much. However, you said she was not driving hard. I suggest waiting until she is driving hard from now on - atleast until she is accustom to the gun! Good luck with her.

I would focus on just running the dog for right now and forget about trying to gun over her. Get her running good over the summer and next fall take her out and shoot a rabbit in front of her when she is running at full cry. You can also use a cap pistol now, but I wouldn't worry about doing that until the dog is running really well.
