have been running dogs for many many years. I see many like different style dogs. I got started running dogs back when my step dad was a auctioneer and he would go to list a sale and the people would have a dog or two and he would bring em home. I've hunted behind all types. Some good some bad. Some should have been left in the field. I see there are those that are in it for them betterment of the breed as i am and then there are dog traders. There are good traders and then there are traders. I don't know much about bloodlines but i do know what a dog is supposed to do when he hits the field. I'll learn bloodlines as i listen to you folks. I told the wife i wanted to get into the beagles again and she said ok BUT there were not going to be any dogs tied out to chains and they would have to have a nice warm kennel house with misters and air. Running hot/cold water for batheing. No smelly dogs. So i guess i better get started on some plans. I bet you guys wish you had a wife like that ???. The boys i work with have beagles but no registered. Some i would leave in the field but we went yesterday and killed 5 rabbits and ran 6 or 8.
I don't like a walkie/talkie dog. Too slow for me. I don't like a dog that catches the rabbit. I don't like a silent dog and i sure don't like a dog that is all mouth. Probably a medium+ would fit me best. 13" dogs are fun to watch. I shoot a 22 when i hunt cause i don't like the taste of lead pellets. Oh well, now that i've introduced myself i'll be chiming in from time to time soi am looking forward to discussing these dogs with you folks in the future.

Great, I look forward to getting there. Now that I know there are fellow beaglers in the area, that makes it all the better. E-mail me with your name & phone number and I will be sure to put it where I won't loose it during the move. I will also try to keep your e-mail address on the computer so I'll have that also.
Thanks,
