HOW TOUGHEN DOGS FEET

HAVING PROBLEM WITH SORE FEET ON MY DOG PAD ARE WORE DOWN NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE THE GROUND IS DRY HERE.

What do you have your dogs on? Concerete, dirt, gravel? I am sure there are others that can pipe in with some kind of products that will help, I don't know of any off the top of my head, but what you keep your dogs on will be helpful.

I have had my hounds on concrete for 20+ years and never had a problem with sore feet or joints.It was probably caused from dry,rocky,rough terrain and excessive running.I sometimes use a product called Tough Pad from Revival Animal Clinic. http://www.revivalanimal.com/search.asp ... 0&ipp=3000 There used to be a product called Coppertone Tuff Foot that was good but I haven't seen it in a long time.

I would try some Tuff Foot, Pad Kote and some kind of lick or chew deterent. alot of times when dogs get sores on their feet they will lick or chew on them alot which slows the healing process down.

Hope they get better soon, lots aof rabbits to run......

once they are heeled up... sprinkle some ag lime down in the lot.... it basically start to help calus the dog's feet.... try it.... get alittle in your hands and rub it around...

Well I had an ol Feller on here tell me one time of an ol home remedy they used to use to toughen up a dogs pads Sounded real Funny to me but i tried it and it Works GREAT!!! PICKLE JUICE !!!!! Just soak the Dogs feet in it every Couple days for a week or so it WORKS

i am going to seccond the pickle juice. i asked the same question back in feb an TC said the same thing. I tried it and it did work. may sound funny but i had to try something. but you have to do and and stick to it.

Yall need to thank Alabama John For most of this kind of Stuff he has Givin Me lots of things to try! And most of them That i have tried WORK!!!!

Alabama John I was thinkin maybe you need to write all this Stuff down in Book Form and SELL it!!!!! All the natural Remadies and Such You have.
I would like to be the First on the list to purchase Such a Book Or manuscript!
Hopefully you have all this Stuff written Down Somewhere or have passed it on So that it all aint Forgot!!!!

TC, hope this doesn't come out as a silly question but have you or anyone you know tried the pickle juice on bloody tails? Just wondering if it would help like it does on the feet. My youngest hound beats his tail to a bloody pulp and I would prefer not to shorten his tail but have to find something that will help. Thanks Hare

Earl Dont Sound Silly at all to me!!! As far as the pickle Juice on the Tail I dont know if it would work or not! I do know that it would probably really Sting like Heck And not sure if i would want to be the one holdin the Dog while ya Dipped its tail LOL
From What I understand Some Dogs just never get over the Tail thing I have heard of usin Tough Foot and other things on thier tails With no real luck But heck anythings worth a try once I guess!!
