I have a pup with a lot of turbo in her and I will be looking for a open marked blue tick directly out of turbo hopefully a FC to bred her to in a year or so. Does anyone know of any 13" in ohio? I also wondered if anyone has a photo of turbo to post as I have never seen him. She is a blanket back blue tick with a big head and feet she is 11" at three months I dont know if she'll stay under 13 what so you think.
Trevor,
Tony has a nice male named Jake his dam and sire were both direct from Turbo, he is a R/Ch and his male Rambler is a Grand Rabbit Champion and a Bench Champion also.
I'm sure you could see either one of them run if you wanted, but I am sure there is some closer to you.
I hear rumor there is going to be a L.P. state hunt in Kansas this year, be alot of Turbo and Ace stuff out there to see run.LOL

I have a 3 yr old female straight off of Turbo and a Pacesetter bitch. This cross seams to be working well as my bitch hunts hard, and has good foot, real good line control, close in the check. She hunts her own rabbit doesn't do anything that I would call stupid, like over runing a track by 50 yrds or swinging out a mile to get a check, she doesn't cold trail or run off game. She is a hunting machine and loves it. Just my input.............

Trevor, there is a dog in Ohio named Blue Man that you should try to find. He is a great dog with great foot, great Line controll, Great hunt and good conformation. He is not a AKC Field Champion because he is not trialed in AKC. He is a NKC Grand Champion and has won two of the three big five hunts including the North American and Spring Nationals. He is 5 points away from the hall of fame. Tony upton owns him and the dog is about 13 1/4 inches

Blue Man's former owner did run him in some AKC trials. Blue Man was too rough for AKC trials. I ran against him on more than one occasion. He put the wing in swing. He'd blow over the end by 50 foot or more then swing out 100 or more to get the check. All he wanted to do is race for the front and try to get it by any means necessary. Needless to say he didn't fair too well in AKC.
There's a lot of good Turbo hounds out there, but in my personal opinion Blue Man isn't one of them. However there's a format for every dog it seems. From the sound of it he's done well in ARHA.

Fuzz i don't think you have seen him run lately. I just judged him at Greensburg and he was very, very line controll. He stayed in the check area and exploded out of the check with the rabbit. He didn't over run more than five yards and come back and was gone again. My cousin Steve owned the dog before paul and tony and your right he was in a nonlicensed AKC trial at Jasmend county and placed 3rd. Turbo he is. He was a little wild back when my cousin steve had him but he is a different dog now. He is a high powered dog that has to be run up for him to look his best. My uncle bred him and every put out of him that is being trialed is winning.

Fuzz I do think that your opinion isn't bad because there a some people that feel the way you do about the dog. I have seen him on good days and bad days. On good days he looks like 1,000,000,000.00 dollars but on a bad day he still can stroke a rabbit but can have some faults doing so. He throws really good pups. I think why he would swing so bad is how he was handled up until Tony Upton Bought him. That is my opinion.
