Neither one! I go to hear a race so wouldn't have dog -A-.
I have to know what's going on by they way their barking so if dog -b- is barking and don't have the rabbit then he would be a cull to me also. If dog -b- would keep his mouth shut till he claimed the check then I would like him. When a dog has the rabbit between his legs and pounding it he can't bark too much for me. That's what I go for. But this just my opinion and what I like. Will not feed a tight mouth hound or one that has very much false mouth. :(

correct use of voice

dog B should be able to cold trial, if not I'd cull him. If he can start up a cold trail, then he's what I want. You have to start some hare cold trailing to get the day started.Dog ''A" you can keep.I sold a exellent cold nose bitch with a 2nd,3rd,and 4th who later turned FTCH but to me I like to know where the dog is moving to' and the rabbit. It's a lot eaier for dog ''A'' to get shot by mistaken too.I prefer one in beween.

Really we would have to watch

There's no other way to really know whats going on.

I watch what young dog's do.
If you have a dog that you know when and what's it's doing it shouldn't take you long to figure out if Dog A or B is doing the right thing.

We all perfer a little differant type of dog.

I think we all need a dog we can use for a measuring stick to tell us what another dog is or is not doing..

I personnally do not like a dog that draws the pack and doesn't have the rabbit.
No matter what reason.
And no if you run your dog's alot with other dog's there gonna get drawn
to a dog thats barking like he has the rabbit.
We have all sen it when we try to run differant speeds of dog's togeather

I will take Dog A everytime. I do like more mouth than described but would rather have less correct than more incorrect. Seems more mouth & more mouth is being bred into dogs today for the trials but I cannot stand a rattley, never know when to trust hound. Too much mouth is a lack of intelligence & will not stay at my place & should not be bred! All those hounds that are too honest & only open on a hot rabbit track can be shipped to Plowboy Kennels for disposal.

which one

Dog B is at home in my kennel, unless someone stole him while I'm at work.(LOL) I have a 10 month old that can flat out jump a rabbit and pound him, but she is a bit mouthy at times. In the check area she will bark whenever she hits it, but not to the point of screwing up the other dogs. She will also bark sometimes when she is harking in to another dog. As a younger pup she used to cold trail real bad opening everytime she smelled rabbit, but she got out of that and hardly cold trails at all now. I don't like overly tight mouthed dogs so I definitely go with B, although her mouth will pee me off sometimes.
