ran pups today

Post by clousewt »

I ran the pups that I just got back from the starting pen, I have to say that I was a happy camper. Kevin Gross started my 2 pups for me and he did an awesome job. They are running and doing everything he said they were. I have to say that Kevin is a great guy and I would recommend him to anyone that wants your pups started and worked like they ought to be. Cannon Hollow, the littermate to yours is going to make a real dog. She has a machine gun chop mouth and can hold the line, I ran her and Pepper, the other pup with my 2 older dogs and boy was I enjoying every minute of the 3 races they had this evening. It was hot as a firecracker outside and they held the line just like it was 40 degrees. James, I cant wait til season opens, I think I will have to take a leave of absense from work. I took along some cool water and the dogs really had a look of thanks when they came in from running. Thanks Darrin G. for that tip about carrying water with you, learn something new everytime I hunt with someone different.

Glad to hear the good news Tom. Yeah, that Cloie of mine is the same way. She's quick but she holds a real nice line even when the ground changes from briars to gravel to mowed grass. I'm real happy with her. That red and white male I got with her is doin' great too. Can't wait till this season. Them rabbits are gonna get a workout..lol. A couple of my other young hounds (under 2 ) are comin' on nice too so we shoud have some fun this year. I'm anxious to hear how your little female does with all those Patches barkin' up her rear end..LOL.. ;) I'm only havin' one problem with Cloie. dern near every time I run her she seems to catch a half grown rabbit and she gobbles it down like a mad dog..lol.. I really don't like to see this as it's not good for the rabbit population. But I can't figure out how to keep her from it.I don't want to scold her for doing something that I am training her to do..lol.. Yesterday, she did bring one back to me while it was still kickin' but she had it nearly all skun out. So maybe things are gonna be ok... CHH...aka... Palerydr :shhh: ..lol

Thats awesome Tom! I'm glad you got the pups you were looking for. But please go easy on my peanut rollers when we hunt together this winter! Be easy CHH....I still got one ole To-Me bitch here that can get the job done. ;) My kennels has no bloodline name hanging on the doors....I may just have a litter of line bred To-Me pups outta my bitch if I can ever find the right male (no B----O in there!) :P

I second that Pat, Darrin I have seen Tater run, you cant sand bag and say she is a peanut pusher. I cannot wait til cooler weather and the chance to run all day. Right now its just to hot to even contemplate the thought. Bopeye is biting at the chops to run his hounds. He has to work alot more than I do , I almost feel bad when I go and he cant. lol

Yeah, I know it's just killing ya Tom...........

I look forward to some hammering this winter. I can't wait to watch your pups run. ;)

We'll have to try and talk ol' Pat into coming down for some running. I'd like to see his hounds run as well. I'd really like to see Molly again.

Darrin, who you trying to get to believe that line......... :haha:

I have to apologize and make a correction, the man that started my pups was Kevin Groce, sorry I misspelled your name. I would recommend this man to start anybodies pups. Tom Clouse
