Just bought A two year old. Love him to death. One problem . very little hunt . I want to run him in UKC trials. but without more hunt he will be picked up. NEED HELP.
The view is all ways the same from behind.

Expose him too lots of rabbits,, its either there or it ain't,, you'll see!!!

one thing i learned they either got it or they dont on the hunt level.

Give him a gun season if he still lacks it.

Time to move him on.

I hate it for you, but if he lacks now, I doubt he will ever hunt real good. Just my 3 cents.

try taking him to a running pen and letting him run all night BY HIMSELF.

He might be used to having another hound always jump the rabbit for him when he was young.

Give him a few weeks to get accustomed to you. Sometimes the change in location will upset a dog. By hunting season, if he hasn't become a more aggressive hunter, you will have a decision to make.
