Mississippi Leg Hound for sale

Post by Bopeye »

This dawg right cheer is a one of a kind. It can run down a rabbit and bring it back to you. If you want to run cats, all you gotta do is say, "meow" and he's after cats. He's amazing to watch too.
If I go hunting for squirrel and he sees me come in with squirrel, the next day he'll have four or five squirrels laying right cheer on my porch.
If I go hunting for deer and he sees me bring back a deer, the next morning he'll have two or three deer laying on my porch.
If'n I decide to go crappie fishing and he sees me come home with a mess of crappie, the next morning I walk out there and he's soaked to the bone with a mask and snorkel on. (He ain't figgered out how to scent them crappie in the water yet, but he will.)

He's not a 100% Mississippi Leg hound or I would keep him. He's got a little Branko, Sock it to me, Patch, Northway, Weircreek, Larsen, Boldstroke and Thorngap in him along with a splash of Shitzu, but it don't hurt him none at all.

Don't stand still for very long either............seems to want to mount your leg if'n you do. Kind of a weird dog to say the least.

Oh, I almost forgot, he's excellent on coon. If I tell him to get a coon, he'll lay down by the creek and watch the water. Just as soon as he sees the water get the least bit cloudy he knows there is a coon upstream. He'll run up there and ketch hit. Dang good dawg folks.

I wouldn't part with him, but I'm needing an alternator for my '92 Toyota.
That'll bought tap me out of my life savings.

Asking $1500 or trade for something really cool that doesn't eat. :)

Call me or e-mail me or pm me or fax me or just tell granny............she knows everyone.

This dog is still for sale. He just went to $2000 dollars though. He just championed in a the bench at a Ugly dog contest..........he's awesome.
If my kennel wasn't so full and I had 10 litters on the way, this dog wouldn't be for sale.

Bopeye Why are you selling that dog??? Is this the one that smokes cigarettes or the one that dips copenhagen?? Was it started at plowboys?I'm wondering if maybe it was originally from Western North Carolina and does it like doughnuts?? I'll trade a picture of a overweight bearded face hunter holding a rabbit and a couple of white beagles for it, but you will have to deliver it to me.Will it skin the animals for you or just bring them in?I had one sort of like him but he would skin out his kill. I would put a board out on the porch and he would go get a hide to fit it and my wife left the ironong board out one night and he left and never came back. Now that I think about it I may meet you half way but I don't know that picture may be valuabe, maybe the only one that hunter had made with a real rabbit! Just let me know something.

DOG

Post by MIKE »

I SURE WISH I COULD AFFORD HIM. I HAD A COON DOG LIKE THAT ONCE. I WOULD SHOW HIM THE BOARD I WAS GOING TO STRETCH THE HIDE ON & HE WOULD GO GET A COON TO FIT IT. I WAS AWAY ONE EVENING & MY WIFE SET THE IRONING BOARD OUT SIDE & MY DOG RAN AWAY & DIDN'T COME BACK. I RECKON HE'S STILL TRYING TO FIND A COON TO FIT THAT BOARD.
