Indiana and surrounding area trialers....... ? 4 U

Post by houndsound »

Our club (Sullivan County Beaglers) is having it's regurally scheduled UKC hunt in November. We're debating on having the UKC hunt in the morning and in the late afternoon, having a PKC hunt. Maybe having a raffle in between the two. PKC has a "try one" program so you wouldn't have to register you dogs with PKC on this one.

We were thinking it would be like attending two trials, but not having lodging, food and gas expenses for two seperate days. It would give folks the opportunity to run several hounds in one day, or re-run a hound that didn't have luck fall on it in the morning hunt.

I was just wondering how many of you would be interested in attending this? Or how many of you that would come to the UkC hunt anway would also participate in the PKC hunt later in the day?

Let me know what you think.

It depends on where you are located, if we had dog buisness to take care of, and the weather but it sounds like a good idea and we may attend..

HOUNDSOUND!!!!!
Don't be so nieve. I think toddm was making a joke. How can ukc stop you from having an event in the afternoon on the same day as one of their events. We have had events on the same day as the other kc and actually had more entries in PKC!! Same time same place. Hold that event and I will be there!! For the afternoon of course. lol

No, turns out he was being serious. I don't like it or understand it, but we'll abide by the rules.

Why not hold a two day event? One KC one day and the other KC the other. Please don't be discouraged that easily.

We're a small club, several of us go to Church on Sunday's. The whole idea was to pack two into one day to make it easier on others with gas and lodging expenses.

But don't worry, I'm not that discouraged, I do want to put on a PKC hunt and still plan on getting it done.
