woody
Rob Kane out east has a good 13" male out of woody.
"Sportin' Wood"
He frequents the better beagling board.
I've seen others with places in the BB magazine.

Great Bear Woody is 10 years old and has been bred 4 times.
Of the 4 breedings many of the pups went as house pets and non trialers.
There are only 4 pups in the hands of trialers, three of which are in my hands. And this is what I think of them, and their trial record:
Kane's Irish Sport'n Wood(by FC Doney's Dogriver Foxy Moxy): 12 1/2-13"
2 1sts, 3rds, 2 4ths, 2 NBQ's,(all but one third was in SPO-R in NY, PA, and MA) and 5th at the IBHF. Sport is a heck of a cottontail hound, and he does it by running the front with control. He can pick a good check, and has a decent nose, when he won Pine Hill him and now FC Sparkling Brook Toby were pick checks so hard and rocketing out of them that they had the rest of the pack spread all over Pine Hill's grounds. He is very honest with his mouth, sometimes to a fault. He is a hunt by you type of hound. I am going to gun him a lot this winter and hope to finish him first thing next year. Handles great. On a rabbit he reminds me a lot like his father, especially with a chop mouth.
Devine's Powervac (by Cast & Blast Dixie, 1st litter): 2 2nds, a 4th, and 3 NBQ's. A borderline hound, his places came in both classes in SPO-R and LPH, he also went to the end in a class of 73 big ones at the 2004 IBHF. Fast hound, does great on hare, and can make a pack look stupid on cottontail, by just leaving them on the dust. He like, Sport is very honest with his mouth, sometimes too a fault. His best point is his ability to stay on a loss, lots of patience, very characteristic of his father, as well as his ability to rocket out of them.
Kane's Irish Miss Mackenzie(by Cast & Blast Dixie, 2nd litter). A conservative type hound with a big nose and lots of hunt. She just turned a year and I'm excited for next years derbies.
Woody is one of the best hounds I have seen and its not cause I own him or because I'm trying to breed him. His ability to run a rabbit is just amazing, when I was running him, I would take him just so I wouldn't lose a rabbit, because he is so steady in any kind of condition. I can't remember anytime that I was running that I got pissed because Woody screwed up. Jimmy Fowles says he likes Woody because "he just goes through $hit." He doesn't care, I could take him to a 200 acre area and if there was one rabbit in the place, he would get him up and running.
The problem is with Wood, is that he's not an aggresive breeder and he's not in that good of physical shape(he's healthy, but I wouldn't take him out for a day's long run). He likes' 13" inch bitchs, and they gotta be cute...at least thats what I think his thinking is. I have told people that if they do want to breed to Woody they're more then welcome to come here and try it, and if he can't get the job done, we'll try Sport.
I don't accept shipping anymore, do to a lack of kennel space, and stud fee is on a private treaty only.

Thanks for the info. I am real interested in breeding to him. I run the Midwest for mat and the female that I am interested breeding to woody is fc iron eagle on top and on bottom she is grandpup to boot scootin boogie. so I really dont know what kind of speed and line control will, I get from this cross. Should be one hell rabbit dogs with plenty of hunt. Maybe you can give some insight on this cross.
