What happened at the US only around 180 dogs?

On the arha board 2 different people say that there was around somewhere between 160 to 180 hounds. Wonder what the cause of that was? Ohh I know it had to be the gas prices.....that is what kept me away. LOL

Paul,
I didnt go to the US this year but I heard there werent many people there at all compared to years past.
A few of us here in Illinois made the trip up into Iowa to a AKC trial instead. We had a great time and saw alot of nice dogs run. I was surprised at the number of dogs there. Didnt seem like the price of gas affected the turn-out up there. Heck the gas was cheaper up there than it is here!
How was the UKC trial?

Paul, I was in Florida, so couldn't make it to the hunt.LOL!! You don't suppose it's because people can't stand the rotten smell. I hear that they are trying to run Clay Richey off now! LOL

Well I know of 40-50 dogs that couldnt go, and not because of gas prices........lol. I wonder if they will pat themselves on the back for what they have done now? You all remember them sitting in a meeting and talking about how they had grown PP.......well, now they must stand up and take the blame for the fall. They wanted to strongarm people, and the people are finally growing some balls!
