Ned help from you in the U.P.

Post by Goes »

I am bringing my American Legion baseball team from NY to the UP for a basbeall tournament in July. I am looking for some ideas that you may have as for things to do while there. Any places to go or to see. Remember these are 16-18 young men so I can only do so much site seeing ...
I appreciate ANY ideas that you may have.

Thanks

We will be there on July 9th through the 13th in Saulte Sainte Marie, if you have some time, would love to see you there.

Goes, an early welcome to the U.P. Sault Ste. Marie is only about 60 miles from me. There is the Sault Locks right there in the Soo (as we spell it here) it is the gateway from Lake Huron to Lake Superior, very interesting to see them raise and lower huge ships. Also about an hour away is the Tahquamenon Falls State Parks, upper and lower falls to view, hiking paths and some beautiful scenery. There is a bear ranch here just outside of Newberry, he has a large fenced in area where you can walk around and view black bears in a natural setting. The lake shore circle is a nice drive along Lake Superior with many places to get out and enjoy the area. Just a couple of suggestions, you will find lots to do when you get here. Enjoy your trip and good luck at the ball games. Hare Hunter

Thanks harehunter.
I have set up a tour ship cruise to go through the locks, just hope it turns out better for us than it did giligan
i will look into the other places you recommended, thanks alot, this is the stuff i needed.
And as for luck at the games, luck is for the annual hunters, luck has nothing to do with anything you have a passion for in life.

However, i will take all the luck we can get...lol
