Beagles On TV
I saw a show on TV today showing some beagles running some rabbits and some "good ole boys" harvesting some rabbits. The show was Outdoors Alabama and it was on the Outdoors Channel. They may run the episode again this week.
The beagle part of the show was good but the rest of the show sucked. Still, a little beagling on TV is better than no beagling on TV. I think my movies are better but that is just my opinion.

Tough critics on this board.
Especially ones that competition hunt in a format where the dogs running a rabbit is optional, any game's track will do.
I even have one of their casts on one of my videos. I think the President and Secretary of the ARHA LP Association are judging some beagles on it.
Funny how a dog that came from their kennels won the cast.
I am not trying to advertise my videos on this board but I would like get one of my rabbit hunting videos on TV sometime. I think I could do better than what I saw on the TV show. Hey, critics, let's see a video of YOUR dogs. Anyone with a camcorder and a computer can make a movie these days.
Anyone wanting to know more about my dogs or videos can click on my web site.
Ringtail, I have been making coonhunting movies for over 20 years. I am working on the 17th volume of my coonhunting movies. I am taping my 3rd version of my Beagle Movies. No, none of my DVDs are perfect and some folks may want to trash their copies. But, I have a waiting list from folks who have already bought some of my stuff, so obviously, some folks like them.
More people need to tape their beagles, it is fairly easy.

Archie Phillips from Birmingham or Hueytown, Alabama is on local and national TV regularly with hunting and fishing tapes he has made and those of others. He is a super friend of all outdoor sportsmen.
His is listed as a Taxidermist as that is his trade and how he got started many years ago. He likes all type of dog hunts.
I suggest anyone contact him. Most I have seen have him going on a hunt with you though.

***NEWS FLASH*** Just heard they had to take redtick to the doctor, yeah said doctor had to put his shoulder back in place, must have popped out while patting hisself on the backRedtick wrote:Tough critics on this board.Especially ones that competition hunt in a format where the dogs running a rabbit is optional, any game's track will do.

NO critic here red, never seen your video to comment on it,but it being you as the author just doesn't strike my interest. The fact that i commented about you was i knew before i got done reading that you would sling off and promote yourself as doing the job better.
The format you mention above, thats what makes it so fun.Just think the excitment of the chase and seeing what might just be at the end of it

Alabama John,i have bought several of archies tapes and to me one of the best hunters to watch. He seems to be a down to earth kinda of guy and i would enjoy hunting with him or his kind anytime.
Did you ever see the one were he was squirrel huntin with dogs and ole john henry was huntin with him and carrying all them squirrels, great stuff and very exciting rabbit hunts, great tapes and would recommend anyone to watch.

chris miller has some really well made vidoes. they are woth the money and ive gotten many from don bramlett that are nice if you like his line of dogs... he turns the camera on and other than changing batteries, the camera runs all day, showing the good with the bad... not many guys will put out videos like that (honest ones- no editing).

Old school Northway . Full Throttle no Bottle.
It seems like I have more critics who bad mouth my movies but have not seen them than anyone who has seen them. They are not perfect, my dogs are not perfect, and believe it or not, I am not perfect. I have some dogs in several breeds of dogs that have won a lot but I do not have any World Champions.
Chris Miller has some good videos, mostly hare videos.
As I said before, it is fairly easy these days for anyone to make movies. You can see some flaws in my movies and some flaws in my dogs but the bottom line is that I get checks in the mail almost every day from folks buying my DVDs. Several from guys who have bought movies from me before. Their actions speak louder than some of you guys words. So, I reckon I will keep doing it.
Why don't some of you guys have tapes of your dogs?
Lynn, I am a disabled veteran and I do have to visit a doctor fairly often. I have squirrel hunting with my Mt Curs on tape but they are difficult to do well. I have a couple of Squirrel Champion squirrel dogs. One has won a good deal of money in PKC. I like competing for cash.

If you like to compete for cash why not accept J Murphys challenge he has proposed on numerous occassions? You always seem to ignore it when it is presented.
I will only compete for cash under a PKC sanctioned hunt. And, I will only do that when PKC adapts a 1 set of rules policy that is based on seeing the rabbit and the whole cast participates in the judging. Any other type of oportunity is not worth consideration as far as I am concerned.
I do have a PKC Small Pack Hunt on video and include it in one of my beagle movies. You can clearly see some of the problems those sets of rules present in a hunting for cash situation.
I have my Pedde on my tapes. He needs only 2 Champion of Champion wins to be a Grand Hunting Beagle Champion and 1 Champion of Champion win to be a Grand Show Champion. He is not the best beagle in the world but my movies will show him to be the type of beagle a lot of beaglers would hunt. His big "coondog" bawl mouth comes out well on the movies and you can see him out front a lot.
That is what my movies are all about. So the general public, and especially my pup buyers can see and hear what the parents of their pups do out in the field and look and sound like. I will soon be posting video clips of some of my beagles where anyone that wants to can click on to a site and download a video clip of my dogs running rabbit. In fact, I have a couple up now. You can see one on my beagle web page.

Redtick,
Is the Pedde dog Red, one that came from the sire that came from the dog pound?
Lets tell about the time there wasnt enough dogs at the hunt you attended to have a bench show so you payed a little boy to show his dog in the show cause you thot you could beat it easily and get your dog another win , and low and behold if the little boy didnt beat you on the bench with your own money. LOL
Dont think you want to get me started Redtick.
I spent all morning videoing my hunt with my son ( Hunter ) doing the lead throwing, No I am not good at videoing, but this is where I have better sence than you do, I aint going to promote a video that isnt worth watching.
Only one I have seen of yours is where you stand on the road and try and video and you cant see the rabbit or the dogs, I have one as good as that and guess what it is one where I forgot to take the lens cover off.
Do I need to say anymore?
