I think some of my biggest critics will jump on the bandwagon and be leaders in "Beagles For Bucks" as soon as they realize the potential in Professional Beagling. Swing, PKC still has 2 formats and that sucks. But, I do not for that to be a permanent situation. And, when you guys realize the potential of a Super Stakes program, you will be the leaders in the program. Which one of you know how a Super Stakes program would work? Come on, quit bashing me personally, and show your knowledge. I will be glad to share some information if you don't know. And, you guys can still love to hate me.

Hey Redtick,
Whatever happened to the dog that went back to the truck and checked for oil leaks everytime you shot?
Which dogs are you using to build your breeding program around, you never did answer me yesterday, name some of the beagles you have had in the past 30 yrs and how you are still building your beagling program around them.
Why cant you ever answer our questions?

Swing, even though this has absolutely nothing to do with PKC Beagling other than I hunted her in a PKC cast one time. The dog you are talking about was an ARHA LP Rabbit Champion. I bought her from Tony Woodward, a well known ARHA LP trialer, and I sold her to Merle Crain ( who has been nominated to the ARHA Hall of Fame), at a big loss. There are no dogs out of her in my kennels but I would guess that both Tony and Merle may have pups or grandpups out of her in their kennels.
Swing, can't you read? Or, are you intellectually challenged? This is a PKC informational thread, not a thread to launch personal attacks. My personal beagle breeding program has nothing to do with PKC until they come up with a Super Stake program. Then, we will see who can breed beagles and who can't with large cash prizes on the line.

I'd like to see the foundation of your beagle breeding program as well. I didn't see any pedigrees on your beagle page to check out. One would think that if there were 30 years of breeding behind it the pedigrees would read like a who's who of Lakeland kennels. From the dogs I saw pictures of I didn't see many FC, rabbit champs with the Lakeland name on them. I would really expect to see those pedigrees loaded up with Lakeland Kennels stuff especially with the Natrually Deer Proof lines. Maybe your not ready to break out the pedigrees yet as I suppose they'll have a lot of the Blackdirt stuff in them Naturally deer proof lines.
i had a nice little reply for you warddog... but i thought better of it. figured if i had to slam someone, at least id be man enough to do it in person... or at the very least on the phone. but i guess you learn alot about a person by their posts. have a good day and next time you have a trash run... think of me with a big smile
.

I truely don't understand some of these people on here who make a claim that they can NOT substantiate and take offense when someone calls into question that claim. No one took any shots at anybody but merely came to the conclusion that there are two people on these boards claiming to have "NATURALLY" deer proof lines or are working on them genetically so maybe they are pretty close in their breeding program.
Slamming someone and questioning their claims are two entirely different things. Blackdirt you ALWAYS seem to want to get defensive when you make those claims that you can't back with nothing but your opinion in lieu of proving your claims with some sort of scientific basis. Genetics is a biological science that MUST stand the pressure of peer review and theories/opinions are of little value. I would venture to say that if you do have truely "NATURALLY" trash proof hounds you have been able to unlock the genetic code for doing so and should be able to prove this when required to be put to the test under any and ALL varibles. You as well as Redtick make the claims, which is your perrogative to state whatever you want but ALWAYS have excusses as to why you don't want or can't prove them. I have also not seen any pup adds that make or give a "NATURALLY" trash proof guarantee of any value or dogs that have proven themselves in a peer review. You obviously like them and that is fine but to come on a public forum and make the all mighty claims is something that people will question.
Now, beings you have puffed up your chest like King Kong, thinking you're proving some sort of manlyhood, tell me what you've learned about me from my posts on these boards? I'll probably be able to prove those theories/ opinions wrong as well but go ahead and give it your best shot. Hey, don't hold back that other little reply you had before either, as it is probably juvenile but I don't mind a robust debate. Maybe our peers will be able to review this and chine in with their input as well. By the way there are several folks on these boards who know who I am so if your opinion of being a man, is by posting some sort of back door threat on a public forum, that they need to call or tell you in person that they think you're making unfounded claims, then thats just nothing else but YOU'RE opinion as well. You know what they say about them don't you? Have yourself a good day as well Professor Blackdirt and I will be attending your next lecture on how to produce your "LINE" of "NATURALLY" trash proof beagles in a generation or two.

all i ever stated all along was my opinions... they are true and work for me and i dont have junk running dogs so im satisfied with my opinions.
so by your assumption if us IL guys have the same dogs then i would assume from that statement that you have the same dogs as bev or dale barnes or matt glomski or some of the other IN beaglers???
this post is way off topic so if you need me, either PM me or start a new thread because i have no interest in pkc.
please feel free to start a topic on what claims i havent or wont back up. my dogs are exactky i have described them. some good days and some not so good, but i have yet to hear from anyone that i have not told the truth about them. guess you need to bring out into the open any claims i have lied about. anyone is welcome to come run/hunt with me anytime. had a guy from southern IL this morning and runnning was pretty tough but we had a fun day and the dogs didnt do anything bad. he actually liked my dogs and wants a pup so i guess i described them right to him after he saw them in the field. got another guy coming down from MI to buy a dog tomorrow... guess my reputation isnt as bad as you think. why dont you come run? no stupid bets or big challenges but just come see them run and bring your dogs and kick some butt if it seems so easy. win or lose, my dogs will run like they always do and i'll be happy to take them home when we're done.

My beagles are not deer proof bred yet, I have never said that they were. I do have a strain of English Coonhounds that are naturally straight.
I don't have a strain of beagles going back 30 years. A buddy and I have some beagles that go back over 30 years but he has the last 2 decendents and it is up to him to keep the strain going. They were bred for our personal gun dogs and were not sold nationally or ever competed with. They did make fine rabbit dogs. I personally have bought some new stock to upgrade a strain I am developing. I am not into the 3rd generation yet. I am breeding them in hopes PKC will get their act together and will have a Super Stake program where dog breeders can make more money than just pup sales. I certainly would like to compete with other beagle breeders for cash on who can produce puppies that make better beagles. No 100 yard Champions, beagles that will show the meat!
I have lots and lots of customers who will back my claim to have naturally straight strain of coonhounds. I didn't start selling coonhound pups yesterday.
Some folks can not make a logical statement on the topic and show their ignorance by launching personal attacts. Personal attacks are not allowed on most message boards.

I certainly have NOT launched any personal attacks. In fact I have supported a person's right to state whatever they believe but when people, who are selling dogs and or pups make claims then I would also expect those claims to be proven either by peer review or a test with some scientific basis. You see as a USDA Meat and Poultry inspector I deal with claims that companies put on their products on a daily basis. It's called labeling and when a statement is made about a product it must be factual and NOT purport the product to be something better than it actually is, whether a written or implied. When a claim is made it must be supported by one of the above means and a claim by anyone of having a "NATURALLY" deer proof line would have to be proven by records of each and every dog within that line being Deer Proof without any human intervention, thus "NATURAL". You would then again have to also prove that the line is in fact yours. Now, we're getting into a whole other situation and I don't even want to go there. It seems that some people on these boards want to imply that certain formats grant titles for 100 yard dashes and running off game. What is implied here is that EVERYONE who participates in that format is privey to those things and stereotypes EVERYONE competing in that format as a cheater. What you don't understand is that you have made your statements quite personal because they are directed to each and every individual within that group that you singled out. I can see why you have so many people irritated as they have taken your allegations to heart. That makes it personal to each and every one of them...not just one individual person.
