You should know as you stated you can tell a lot about someone from their post. Evidently you can't as I never made an assumption about anybody because of the state they reside in. What I did make a correlation to was the ONLY two people I've seen make a statement that they had their own "NATURALLY" deer proof lines. So being a critical thinker, I knew one line of dogs but the other has never been put out there so I asked if they were the same. I've known numerous other breeders in my 40+ years of being around hounds but it's just now in my golden years that I see two folks make such a genetic breakthrough. My hat is off to you guys on such a genetic accomplishment but doesn't it seem logical to make a correlation that with ALL the different bloodlines, all the different breedings taking place by all the different people trying to produce the perfect dog that there are only two people making the same claim of having "NATURALLY" deer proof lines?

hard to say how the pup will turn out... he is an outcross so its hard to say which traits he will get and from who. ive seen a few guys knock grizz before, but i have to see any of them with half a dog as what he is... and i doubt that will change. say what you like as i see the results everytime i go hunting. words dont bother me much... im more interested in results in the field.
Take it from someone that knows, it pays to have very thick skin if you post your opinions on a message board very much.
I am very confident a naturally deer proof strain of beagles can be produced. I hope to add that trait to my line someday but there are many other traits I value more. I certainly do not want any beagles that can't be broke with 1 or 2 treatments and there are plenty of beagles out there like that. Of course, you can run your trashy beagles in PKC Small Pack Hunts, you don't have to see the rabbit, so any track will do.

Which one of you know how a Super Stakes program would work? Come on, quit bashing me personally, and show your knowledge. I will be glad to share some information if you don't know. And, you guys can still love to hate me.
Ok Dave here is the deal. I won't bash you like some do, if you promise to answer my question without bringing up the 2 sets of rules debate, I think we are all clear on that one.
I would like for you to share with me just how the following programs work for PKC night hunts. I think I have a decent understanding but I am willing to learn more... And after you explain each program to me, please give me your guess as to how long it would take for the beagle program to reach the heights that the coondog program is at today if it could ever be worked out to happen.
Futurity Program?
SuperStakes Program? Breeder of the Month/Year Program?
National Championship?
World Championship?
Are there any others that I have overlooked that would fit the beagle program if one were ever established? How does each program obtain the money to be able to make those large cash purses?
No bashing, just honest questions. You say you know and are willing to share, so share away!

Craig, in reality, we agree a lot more than we disagree on. I would be willing to share what knowledge I have on each topic you mentioned. I am not an expert on any of those topics but I certainly have friends that are, so I would e-mail Rick Stretch on any question I couldn't answer. This thread is worn out, so I will start a new one. I am going to copy your questions and the answer one at a time over a period of days. I think all of these programs would be of great interest to any "hard core" competition beaglers. Some of these programs are worth $25,000 in cash winnings in PKC's coonhound programs.
