Boys I am not trying to run anybody down and you all are welcome to your opinions. You are also right Jeff can be Jeff. He is proud of that dog as I am mine and I am sure you all are of your good hounds, and you should be. I don't really know who said what exactly because I am not real good with all these fake names and frankly I don't care, but I know that I would much rather beat another hound at a field trial than beat him down on a beagle board. That just doesn't show much class to me. Just remember even the best hounds have bad days. I don't own one dog I haven't wanted to kick in the butt a time or two. Some I never stopped wanting to. Joe Murphy you can give me a call or an email and we can talk about what I saw out of that hound all you want but if you are really interested in him I recommend going and watching him at a trial. Maybe even marshall so you can see more of the dog. Better yet go take your dogs and run with the dog. Keep'em runnin.

If you mean interested in breeding to him or something no I really am not.That is not a cut on the dog but rather is because we have too many already and we have our next couple of crosses planned.Like you I thought that the post that started this thread was kind of ugly.However I did hear the things I said about the dog from good folks.So since you wanted to defend the dog I just thought I would ask you straight up with no insult intended.If You had him for a month you probably know him better than most.I guess where I was curious is if what he was doing in the last trial was something that had been happening right along and wasnt getting caught or if you thought it was in his breeding( I wouldnt think you would think this since you are breeding to him)or was just a bad day for him or was simply a matter of too much pressure and too many trials. .If you want to answer those things in a pm to me that is fine if not that is ok too.My dogs certainly have their share of bad days and when they do it is usually in front of a stranger who has never seen them before.I have seen that you are pretty straightforward with your posts so I thought I would just ask you straightup about the dogThanks

I feel pretty much the same about beardy as the others and that is my oppion....I'm sure other people like him just fine and that's their oppion. I'm not the one who takes care of him so I could care less what type of hound he is...good or bad...I have never run against him in AKC but have run against him in UKC at least twice and beat him both times. (not trying to say my hound is any better, just wanted to point out I have run against him..) He just isn't my style of hound, but if he makes Jeff happy, then he is at the right place.....
