Arlie Thompson owns him and he lives in Mansfield Ohio.Jimmy was all canada hound of the year in 2001 and 2002 I think.I know he was All Canada hound of the year two years in a row,but not sure wich years.Arlie dont trial in AKC so I dont feel Jimmy is getting the respect he deserves here in the states, but in Canada he was very popular. He had dogs winning up there last year.He is throwing some nice pups here but none are old enough to field trial yet, once they get old enough to start winning down here then maybe people will start recognizing him.

I own a male that is out of a littermate sister to Shaker, and i dont know if i could ever replace that dog in my pack. He is a good solid dog that doesnt do much wrong with a very honest mouth and great hunt. He made pp grand champion in less than 1 year and hall of fame in a little over that. I am getting ready to breed him for the first time and am pretty excited too see what comes out!

Check with John McLin of Plant City, Florida. He will know where the Shaker stuff is in the southeast (NC, SC, FL).

John's kennel, Black Water Creek Beagles is listed in the back of The American Beagler as such

There is a good picture of Shaker and his sire Harper on our Canadian Fox website. http://www.cdnbeagleonfox.com, just go to the Hall Of Fame link.

I have a male out of IFC Threejays Jack's Smokey(IFC Haunted Hill Shaker x FTC Squirrel Creek Cinder) X IFC Sullivans Sherlock Holmes(FTC Fillmore's Northern Sly x FTC Silver Mountain Echo).

His name is Canepatch Doctor Watson. Watson hunts like a bird dog; but doesn't range out- briars don't bother him. He runs mostly with his head up, but can also put his nose to the ground when he has to. He runs a really close line, will run in the pack, but prefers the front and can consistently drive it. He has a really good nose and a semi-chop horn that he uses correctly. He has plenty of foot - fast but with control.

Watson is about 14 1/2 inches; very muscular, big-boned, long-bodied. Only flaw is he is a little bench-legged. This hasn't affected his running ability. He can go all day-every day. He has tons of stamina. He is really intelligent and handles really well.
