Hey Chapps,
The joke is on you buddy. I through out the bait and just as I expected "Hook, Line, and Sinker.
You have just proved to everyone how Kennel Blind you really are.
And don't give me your slowest because if I'm going to get beat it's going to be from the front and not the rear. I want the fastest one you have and I may have to take out a loan because I'm sure you think it is worth 12 grand at least.
Geez!

Re: politics of our sport that need to be addressed
I volunteer to put this topic to rest by offering to judge a fun run with another random person that knows none of the dogs to be running and to make it even more fair have the dogs cast and hunting before I get to the briar patch that way non one knows who's on the other end of the lead strap so this is a open invite for me to judge and I will be the first to say I like the front running hard. Hitting dogs but I also know what a good dog is so anyone want to host this at a running spot somewhere close to indiana, michigan, ohio area?? It don't bother me let's drop um and let the truth come out! All this jaw jacking and peter measuring at proving nothing but who has the biggest mouth and I think we all know who that is!! So there is the offer!!
Re: politics of our sport that need to be addressed
Not Fair.....Champko's dogs will catch the rabbit before you get into the briar patch. While they are eating that rabbit, they will be pinning another down....yes, that bad azz....just ask him.
The weird thing is that we run similar bloodlines....they must send all the slow ones south of MI.
This is probably the funnest thread I have ever been a part of...makes the time pass anyhow.
Sure Bailey, buy up all the GOOD dogs...bet that price tag is off the box too

Re: politics of our sport that need to be addressed
This might be the perfect place to compete your dogs, neutral judges, neutral running grounds, all that you need to do is show up with your dog and be ready to run click on the link... http://americanbeagler.huntingboards.co ... 20&t=64082

Shot Caller, I dont think his hound will measure in, he said it would not make the stand. I am starting to wonder if ACE is even a beagle.
Chaps I would just like to give you a word of advise: The next time you plan on making a breeding keep away from the grayhounds and walker coonhounds.
From the way that you have talked about your hounds it sounds like you have the complete package!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No I was wrong, if you can put a saddle on its back and ride him while he is running that bunny then you would have the complete package.
Never mind with his size you might just have the complete package!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Come on down to KY and I will show you a 13 3/4 inch hound that can get the job done.

Guys, I wouldn't waste your time. I've got it on good authority that this boy has nothing better to do with his free time than get on the net to stir the pot on here and surf porn.
A real man would put his money where his mouth is and take his recommendations straight to the "powers to be" for akc and see if he could help. One thing I will say is if he runs his dogs half as much as he runs his mouth then even at the age of 2 they've probably got the experience of most hounds that are pushing double digits.
Besides fellas, it's not fair to have a battle of wits with someone like him who shows up completely unarmed.......

13 3/4 inch hound YOU WOULD DROP IT OFF THE TAIL GATE AND IT WOULD GET LOST IN THE SNOW. YOU BETTER HAVE A GARMIN SO YOU CAN FIND HIM AFTER HE GETS STREACHED OUT . HE WONT BE ABLE TO FIND HIS WAY BACK TO THE TRUCK

Re: politics of our sport that need to be addressed
Man not only can you run 10 miles in 60 minutes you can do it in snow that's over bobb's 13 3/4 dog that would mean that you are running in more than a foot of snow!! I tell you what if you can run 10 miles in that kind of snow you must be Gods right hand or super human you would need to be on tv never mind that im already on the phone with ESPN and they are contacting Michael Johnson to come along with them!! You are a joke dude!! Second of all if your dogs run that fast in that amount of snow they must be half quarter horse and arabian stallion no wonder you price that junk so high!! You sir are a waste of time!!

Re: politics of our sport that need to be addressed
I have a question for some one in Mid -West .Does the hound jumping the rabbit get any points or does it count for anything ? I have been told by 2 judges No not really ,2 other judges Yes .In my mind this is the most important quality I want to see in a hound is hunt and search ,not walking and jumping a rabbit and calling the dogs to it ?

Re: politics of our sport that need to be addressed
Yes, if they don't hunt they will be picked up, but there is no scoring system as far as jump, strike, etc. like other formats; the two judges just bring back the best hounds in the entire series to the next round. They don't have any rules that would keep them from bringing back the best hounds in thier opinion; they can bring back all of the dogs in a certain pack or none if they choose, but normally they will bring back the best 2 or 3 from each pack. Most judges make sure which hounds are or aren't hunting within the first few minutes of the cast, then they want a rabbit as soon as possible due to time factors. Each pack must have enough actual running that the judges can see & judge before they can make accurate decisions on which hounds they think deserve to move on to the next series.

Re: politics of our sport that need to be addressed
Greg pretty much summed it up. I only have one addition. Most judges will tell you that at the end of the day if they have two dogs very close on score and one has jumped rabbits and the other hasn't... then the one who has jumped rabbits is going to be their winner. I think that's part of common sense factor that AKC's rulebook doesn't tell you to use, but expects it's judges to know.

Greg is correct but I will say that there have been day's when we had no game or very little. That being the case and you have 1 or 2 hounds doing the work and get the jumps it does way on decisions tthis applies to the hunt that was mentioned in previous post. If we are having plenty of game and running is good I would not give it much consideration because the dogs are to be judged as a pack or you try to have at least the majority in case of a split.
