I remember going down there last year with my good friend Foxxy and good buddy mark and good buddy harner and we didn't kill a single rabbit but dogs ran constant for over 8hrs but im willing to bet I had the best time hunting ever!! I myself don't need to brown its down to have fun! Cause I would rather have rabbits to run instead of a loaded tail gate!! JMHO

I must have been smoking something cause I remember we had running in the final hour or maybe two before we left... we didn't have no 8hr running.... When rabbit season rolls around I want to hunt and put rabbits on the tail gate. Thats why I run my dogs during the spring and summer. Maybe killing rabbits ain't for everyone but I enjoy it with my friends... I wouldn't trade that for anything!!!

Harner you must have been smoking something good cause it was all day running not the best doog work but it was lots of rabbits and that's right the big white truck didn't make a showing that day!! Yes I remember someone "no I aint gonna name drop" having to correct u on what dog was barking! But I forgot how quickly people change when they get with a different crowd!!! Its. Cool you can be a cheerleader for the TRAIN BANG TEAM!! But im the type that remebers who I once was and still am!! That's the truth any questions or complaints here is my number andd yes my phone is on 24/7

One thing I can't wait to do is kill a few over my newest pup... that'll be fun! Hopefully one or two rabbits down will be enough for him to get that hunger for dead rabbit!!!

I gotta agree john i love just listening to the dogs run now dont get me wrong i kill a few maybe 15 a year but this stuff of guys coming down here everyweekend and killing 25 or 30 a day has to stop or we are just simply gonna ruin the coal mines

and harner i hate to b the bringer of bad news but the state property you r wanting to wipe out their season doesnt open until november right along with indiana regular season so that gives us beaglers another month before the troops move in

I agree Mark, when the tail gates piled high that means the running rabbit must die. Then those that did so ask why and then cry because they have no more rabbits to pile high. Seen it many times where good rabbit holding areas are wiped out by the act of piling high. Nothnig wrong with killing a few so that young dogs can get a chew but to take more than a meal or two is in my opinion rapping mother nature, how about you? The greatest preditor out there in nature is man.

Y'all need to quit hijacking harners thread. Last time I checked the coal mines weren't hurting for rabbits. Plus half the time we hunt private land anyways. We don't kill 25-30 a day either so I'd appreciate it if you'd quit lieing. People travel to the UP to hunt hare. They come down south to kill swampers. I've got friends that go to Colorado and bow hunt elk. You have to go where the game is. There is no cottontail running in the world like the coal mines. Y'all should feel lucky, and not act like you own everything. I run 200+ days a year, if I wanna hunt a couple weeks I feel like I've paid my dues.

Guess i will hit glendale in Oct 1st. Harmon you don't like me. Like Neil said we ain't hurting the population there. We might hit inner lake a few weekends,then we hit a private spot in the coal mines. The coal mines are huge and most of it holds rabbits. No way or no how can a group wipe them out in that big of an area.

Last time I heard was that we, hunters, were the smallest percentage of predation compared to natural predators and disease. Just what I have heard.

I run dogs as much as time will allow and in the last couple yrs rabbit population has dropped
this yrs rain hurt it as much as anything.
i will say a honey hole i had ran for a bit i went to last yr last day of season
there was guys on 4 wheelers and utv's. i bet there was 10 or 15 guys well that spot isnt evan close this tr to what it was last yr.
so i do think a group will hurt a large area casey.
Its the place i took you Casey and we straight wore dogs out and know you may or may not get a good run.
i am glad i a working on leaseing a large plott of land kinda close to some private land of a well known beagler
Dont get me wrong i like to kill me some bunnie just not a lot out of one spot
so
i wish ya all good luck and mybe we will run into each other down there or in glendale i am camping there that weekend for bunnies and fishing and family fun

i've never tried party hunting with 10 people. First off that is dangerous and secondly I don't see how you can shoot a rabbit with 2 people to your left 2 people to your right 2 people in front of you and 2 people behind you. seems like more trouble than its worth.

i don't agree with people wiping out all the rabbits in one area. that is dumb. yeah i've been known to fill a tailgate or two. but those spots are only hunted once a year and the population bounces back every year and plenty is left for seed.
