I'VE had two to blow up and they were females. I gave one to DMP on the board here, and with alot of solo and TLC she has turned out to be a pretty good dog. She placed third in an AKC trial in october a couple of years ago and by january she was the backtracking queen of north carolina. Ya'll are very correct when they blow up it is almost overnight. I never seen it coming until it was too late. Bottom line is she could not with faster dogs. I try to be very careful nowadays with young dogs

in my opinion some dogs cant handle pressure at a young age . so a good started dog might be runin good then you put him with dogs that are better and he starts getting to competitive and starts doing dumb stuff like over runing and keeps on barking pulling the whole pack with him or back traking or making his own imaginary rabbit or line that isnt really there. inn other words go nuts and not concentrate on running the rabbit more interested in trying to be front dog. its not pretty. see it a lot in large pack trials dog was to young and two far back in pack to get bunny sent so he thinks its ok to run around and bark for no reason . like every one else.

You've got to solo @ll of them some to c@lm them down & t@ke the pressure off of them espesci@lly if you see them doing something you don't like. If I h@d to pick on @ cert@in blood th@t could go from superst@rs to idiots overnight with too much pressure it would be @li- B@b@ dogs; seen it sever@l times. I love the Br@nko breeding, but give me the Prop stuff; no B@B@ FOR ME. JMO....

Yes, soloing will help & by the w@y, I've seen some gre@t hounds th@t go b@ck to @li-B@B@, but @lso sever@l direct offspring ye@rs @go th@t blew up & never recovered @fter being pressured by p@ck running. I just prefer the Prop & J@ck Br@nko bloodline. Hope you @re keeping the P@cesetter x Bessie blood flowing in Michig@n Scott.

ALL THATS NICE BUT WHEN U HAVE 10 DOGS I DONT HAVE TIME TO SOLO DOGS . AND IM RETIERED IM HARD TO PLEASECANT SPEND ALOT OF TIME WITH 1 DOG IF THEY BLOW UP I WOULD'NT BREED THEM OR TRUST THEM ANY MORE . ITS LIKE ACAR WITH ALOT OF PROBLEMS INSTEAD OF WORRING WITH IT JUST GET ANOTHER. TO MANY DECENT DOGS N WORLD TO WORRY ABOUT 1 NOW THATS MY OPION . IF U JUST RUN 3 OR 4 DOGS ITS DIFFERENT.I DONT HAVE TIME TO SPEND WITH ONE DOG THAT MIGHT OR MIGHT NOT STRAIGHTEN UP.

some people never solo a dog and allways run packs i understand that . but i also believe solo time on a good dog brings out the best that dog has to offer. with out relying on pack mates and learning how to run a rabbit with out worrying about whos in his hip pocket. or trying to race horse to stay in the front.. they learn to concentrate on running the rabbit nothing else. this non pressure runin will teach a dog to what i call lock on a rabbit. the good ones anyway they go into a zone and run smooth very few brake downs at a good speed total concen tration on bunny. making the turns. almost like a well tuned race car an a fast track. its a beautiful thing. and in my opinion solo helps bring this type of groove on in some dogs and end results they do it in hunts and thus the win blue ribbon. just my opinion. and yes mr wells that bessie blood is still rampent her in mi . and always will if i can help it. but not kennel blind been breeding into some other stuff with my line bred dogs to try somthing new hopefuly better .

Running solo makes your dog independent and confident. Also, it helps to run them solo in six or more different locations. Some people never put more than one dog to a pen; they do this to make them independent.
