How many people on here, think they (ARHA) will require all dogs that go to any "big" hunt to have a card? I personally plan to have any dog I enter measured until they require otherwise. I don't have any close to 15", so measure away. People who have a dog close or over 15" will have a card anyway, so all I see this doing is slowing the entry process and making ARHA a little more money.

Registration at the world or any other big 5 is going to be slow. I know quite a few people that say they won't get their 8 bucks.

Well At one trial my dog measured at 14 3/4 and 3 weaks later 13 1/8. I would hate to have a full 15" he could go anywhere from 14" to 16". NKC needs to pay to get all NKC state reps to a central location or the world hunt and do a seminar. My friends dog measured at the same hunts 13 1/2 and the next hunt 14 7/8. OH ya same club for both dogs.

exsactlly what ive been saying! if your dog is 14.5 in very much in danger of measuring out. in my eyes and alot of others 14.5 is the new boarder line dog because all the variations in how and who measures your dog. NKC needs to be reading this! they do need their reps to be in a centrel local every so often to measure and hand out OFFICIAL cards that cant be protested. not these so called official cards thats not worth the paper its wrote on!

I have been planning on going to the World Hunt but I am having 2nd thoughts about going! After reading these posts I am not going to drive 9 hours and risk not being able to run my 14 1/2 inch hounds. I attended my first PKC hunt recently and will be at their World Hunt in March. All the confusion in NKC needs to get worked out before I commit to spending the $ to travel to the World Hunt.

Still dont get how 16 17 or even 20 in gives you an advantage . Think about it an 18 in dog having to go through brush or thick stuff .Imo a guy has a dog he likes looks like a beagle he should be able to run in any format. If you are running rabbits imo a dog about 14-15 in has the advantage to still go under brush -over snow an adapt to different terrain .if i am at cast stakes an see a big dog those usually the easiest to beat look out for the 12 in female that can burn under the seresa .maybe to old fashioned just see to much red tape when all im trying to do is releive stress not create more .yest my buddy john an me spent all day on the tailgate .no entrys no premeaseure no judges no paperwork jus lots of pounding running lots of BS an i shure felt good when i got home last night

I have a male that always measures around 14 1/4--14 1/2 and i am thinking about getting an official card on him but now I don't know if i will or not. He was measured at 13 1/2 about three weeks ago and a friend of mine was trying to get me to try to get him in the 13 in class in Mid-West but I said no because I know he is a little over 14". But I don't worry about an inch and a half or even two inches beating me because on any given day any dog can beat another and I have ran my 14 1/4" dog with some dogs over 15" with good results.

I don't believe size advantage or disadvantage is the the whole issue. The reason for measuring is, the breed standard is 15" .

PKC is AWESOME......Kenny Martin start you a PKC club down there then you won't have to put up with all the BS of LP.Tony Kildow or someone from PKC will come and walk you through every inch of starting a club. This is why I don't do LP anymore too much politics,LMAO!!!!!!

Why do I have to stand in line to have my 13 inch dogs measured. Why do I have to pay 8 dollars each to not stand in line and prove there not over 15 inchs. Why are over sized dogs still in the trials, don't say they anit I know better. Why. Are we all arguing about this it will not change anything. If you want to argue about it call the people up who run arha. why will I be standing in line again I guess I'm to stupid to know better. Or is that I just like to trial.

Dont worry u will only be barred if you talk or act like u know something is wrong with the books or u talk about the Queen Bee.You can talk about the rules all day they do not care about your complaining how u think it should be. They just want your money and make it as easy as possible. If you really want to test what They truely care about start putting names to your complaining and then see wheather you become barred. Use FRED OR RON and God forbide you throw in Joyces name. You only get barred for pointing out the truth sort of like the Government you can complain all you want just make sure u do not use the wrong words or the FBI will be knocking down your door. They call these alarm words.
