Well, it is ON!!! 12 hounds coming in on Saturday morning to hopefully run the guts(literally) out of our Yote problem. I am excited. I will be waiting on the edges of one massive area with fields and brush for rifle sniping the 257 weatherby may not connect, but it won't be for lack of effort!!!! I am anxious to just hear the hounds running!!!

Get them before they do any damage to one of those nice young hounds!! I think if you get them scared and rattled in the area they are less likely to just run in on hounds running, at least that is what we hope. I will be throwing lead at them if i see them!!!!

had my first last week --got my --30-06 female in the back leg -had to put staples in her -put her to the truck in a hurry --I haven't found the den yet --still looking ---I was in a tree stand watching the rabbit race and that's when I hear her scream ---I saw her through thick brush but get a shot --about 60-70 yrds.---I probably couldn't hit her with my hand gun any way --just put the scare in her --normally I put a few fast rounds in the ground if they are far a way ---
--a couple years or so ago I was hunting out of OCEAN CITY, OH. when one of the dogs in the cast got bit in the hind leg also I found [[6]] little ones in a larger brush pile --they didn't make it to eat a rabbit -------

Well we didn't get any, but we had them running all over. They missed two at long ranges (300 plus yards), but we sure made them realize a hound opening is not dinner time, it could be dying time, LOL. It was fun and we ended up with about 15 truck loads of guys, it was an EVENT! We are going to do it earlier next year before it starts to green up.

My brother in law hammered a big one out scouting turkeys so at least one coyote died today.

I would go back out with in the next month and give them another refresher course just to make sure they learned something!! Just like other animals they can forget if not taught every so often!!
