I also agree with Jim that I have so much fun at these hunts! To me, that is what it is all about. I have spent many hours in the field with Jim and others, and have enjoyed every minute of it! I don't go expecting to win (good thing as I would be a disappointed man), I go to run with friends, old and new, and watch hounds work. I will continue to do this as long as I am able and can find somewhere to go.
As far as what Bev wrote, I agree. I let my subscription expire 2 months ago. There are just a few people they have to write about their personal hunts, which I enjoyed for the first year I read about the same thing over and over, but we need more coverage. This is an excellent opportunity to promote this registry and the sport of hunting with hounds. 700 hounds, must have been over 500 people. All of these people are spending money on dogs, registering dogs, entry fees, hotels, meals, beverages, entertainment, and would not hesitate to spend money on the magazine that covered this special weekend. If they do not want to use a regular issue up for this hunt, maybe they could do a special edition. It's not like we don't pay enough (Sport's Illustrated is just about as cheap). I don't know who we need to contact, but maybe there are a few of the editors that read this and will care enough to address the issues we have as beaglers and fans of the sport. I can't get off work to attend the hunt, but as I said, I am a fan of the sport and even asked a world hunt winner for his autograph once
